Rushmaid Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: name, email, phone number, password (stored only as a secure hash), and your Apple or Google account id if you sign in with them.
• Bookings: addresses and their map location, home details (rooms, answers, notes), dates, prices, tips, ratings and reviews.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers; we keep the payment status and a Stripe customer reference.
• Messages: chat messages, photos, voice messages and files you send in the app, and reports you make about a conversation.
• Cleaners (Rushmaid Pro): home address, work area and hours, government ID, IRS Form W-9 (which contains your Social Security or Taxpayer Identification Number), profile photo, your signature on the contractor agreement and the record of that signing (IP address, device, app version, time), Zelle contact, earnings and payouts.
• Device: a push notification token, the platform and app version, and crash and performance reports that do not identify you.
• Location: when a customer opens a support conversation, the app turns the phone's location into a ZIP code on the phone and sends us only the ZIP, so support knows which area you are in. When a cleaner starts a job, the app checks on the phone that she is at the job address; that location is not sent to us.
• Consent records: which version of our terms you accepted, and when.

How we use it

To create your account and verify your phone; to book, schedule, match and carry out cleanings; to take payments and pay cleaners; to vet cleaners and meet US tax obligations; to let customers, cleaners and our support team talk to each other (with automatic translation when you choose it); to send receipts, notifications and account emails; to prevent fraud and keep the service safe; to fix problems; and to comply with the law.

Who we share it with

A customer and the cleaner on a booking see what they need of each other: first name, photo, the address and details of that booking, and the chat.

We use service providers who process data only on our instructions: Stripe (payments, including device information its app component uses to prevent fraud), Twilio (SMS), Zoho ZeptoMail (email), Google (maps and address search, push notifications, chat translation, Google sign-in), Apple (push notifications, Sign in with Apple), OpenAI and RentCast (property details from an address, for pricing), Sentry (crash and error monitoring, without personal data) and DigitalOcean (hosting and storage, in the United States). We disclose data when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

While your account is open. After you delete it, records of bookings, payments, payouts and tax documents (such as a cleaner's W-9), together with the messages and files that belong to those bookings, are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and are then deleted. Everything else is removed or anonymized.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile in the app, turn off notifications, and delete your account at any time in the app (menu, Settings, Delete Profile) or as described on our account deletion page. You can ask us for a copy of your data or a correction.

California residents have the rights in the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete and correct their personal information, and not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit; passwords are hashed; tax documents and signatures are stored privately and are not publicly reachable.

Children

The service is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We post changes on this page and, for significant ones, tell you in the app.
